• BART Silicon Valley Phase II — 6-mile extension to downtown San Jose and Santa Clara. Tunneling underway.
• SR-37 Corridor Resilience — Sea level rise adaptation for the Solano/Marin connector. Planning phase.

• I-680 Express Lanes Contra Costa — Opened to traffic 2024

Water Resources ​

Active ​

• Delta Conveyance Project — Single-tunnel design, 45 miles, 6,000 cfs capacity. EIR certification expected Q3 2026.
• Sites Reservoir — 1.5 MAF off-stream storage in Colusa County. Record of Decision received. Pre-construction phase.
• Los Vaqueros Reservoir Expansion — Doubling capacity from 100 TAF to 275 TAF. Design phase.
• Oroville Dam Spillway — Rebuilt after 2017 failure. Long-term monitoring ongoing.
• SGMA Implementation — Statewide groundwater sustainability. 12 basins flagged inadequate in 2026.

Environmental ​

Active ​

• CEQA Streamlining (AB 1847) — New 270-day EIR shot clock for rehab projects. Effective July 2026.
• Caltrans Statewide NPDES Permit — Updated stormwater permit with PFAS monitoring. Compliance by July 2026.
• SF Bay Restoration Authority — Measure AA-funded wetland restoration across 9 Bay Area counties.
• Salton Sea Management Program — 30,000-acre habitat and dust suppression project. Construction phased through 2028.

Geotechnical ​

Active ​

• Highway 1 Landslide Monitoring — 85-station real-time slope monitoring network in Big Sur. Pilot through 2028.
• Hayward Fault Hazard Mapping — CGS updated liquefaction zone maps in 2026 for Alameda/Contra Costa counties.
• Transbay Transit Center Monitoring — Ongoing settlement and lateral displacement monitoring of the sinking transit center.
• Treasure Island Geotechnical Improvements — Ground improvement for redevelopment on liquefiable fill. Construction ongoing.

• Bay Bridge Eastern Span Monitoring — 10-year structural assessment completed. Rod dehumidification systems active.
• Richmond–San Rafael Bridge Seismic Retrofit — Phase 2 retrofit of the upper and lower decks. Design phase.
• Caltrans Statewide Bridge Retrofit Program — 340 bridges flagged for re-evaluation under new FHWA standards.
• SB 18 Hospital Seismic Compliance — Deadline extensions for acute care hospitals to meet seismic safety standards.
• Golden Gate Bridge Seismic Retrofit — Ongoing multi-phase strengthening program.
